It’s finally here! The Steve Jobs dedicated T-Shirt (Javashirt). It was a very sad time when Steve Jobs died, and it was at that time that I went to my resources of self help audio books, magazines, and other programs designed to help motivate me. I remembered an excerpt from a book called “Think and Grow Rich” by Napolean Hill. There was a brief portion of the audio that the author explained how every adversity has a jewel of wisdom or prosperity hidden within. I searched and searched and thought to myself *what would jobs do in a situation like this? It was like a light bulb went off in my head.. No! Scratch that!!! It was like an I-Phone was on top of my head, and I just downloaded a light bulb (idea simulating) app! I knew then that I could create a t-shirt (Javashirt) that would be dedicated to Steve Jobs and at the same time I could help fight Cancer with some of the proceeds. I had been waiting so long to do something like this as both my Uncle and Aunt died of Cancer, and now that my mother is still fighting Cancer for the 5th time, I felt like I had to do something now. I always preach about taking action, so I decided to take my own advice, and that is exactly what I did..TOOK ACTION!
This is the part where most bloggers usually go and find some random biography regarding Steve Jobs using Google. They’d copy it and paste it here as if they did some research. However I am not going to do that. I am going to keep it 100% with you (that means keep it real..LOL!) I honestly feel like I didn’t know everything there is to know about Steve Jobs. Honestly I don’t even have an I-Phone. I have an HTC Evo. Truth of the matter is I have been with Sprint for so long that whenever I need something they do it for me without question. However, because of all the hype that has surrounded the Iphone in the past half decade I was tempted to terminate my contract early and just pay the $250 termination fee just to be able to experience what millions of people were experiencing with the I-Phone. Luckily I waited because now Sprint has their own version of the iphone available to sprint users, but I digress. The point I am trying to iterate is Steve Jobs was able to get ME to viscerally consider switching from my current carrier regardless of the penalties and fees that I would be forced to pay. For me that alone is BIG! He has revolutionized the way the world operates, and for those of you who don’t know, Apple was not always number 1 with regards to the mp3 market (ipod) Steve Jobs had to find ways to improve his products over and over again, until he got the formula right. Similar to Edison when he revolutionized the world with the LIGHT BULB! There are several ways I have heard the quote but it goes something like this: When Edison was asked how did it feel to fail at trying to create the light bulb 10,000 times he replied with “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” Steve Jobs found ways to make me want his products, he found ways to make having a phone a necessity.. Think about it…. If you left your home and forgot your wallet you may or may not turn back to retrieve it.. But if you leave your cell phone at home, chances are you are busting a U-turn on the freeway during rush hour traffic to go back and get it. Cell Phones and Technology are almost like life support to this generation and Steve Jobs has a lot to do with that!
There have been several people who have been able to start and maintain careers doing what they love because of the technology that Steve Jobs has brought to market. iJustine is one of the many people who have built a large fan base recording her life using an array of products by Apple. Whenever I am experiencing laughter withdrawls I watch her YouTube videos and they never fail to bring a smile to my face! http://ijustine.com/In closing I hope you like new t-shirt (Javashirt).
